Why 360? |
360 cameras are a little misunderstood. Yes, you can use them to shoot and share 360 footage, but their greatest asset is that they simply capture everything (minus the selfie stick). This allows you to choose how to frame your footage later. In some cases it can look like you had a photographer or drone following you; without the hassle of setting that up. The video below shows some of that potential. It was shot with an Insta360 One X and hastily reframed on a phone after the fact.

Insta360 ONE X2Water-resistant without a case. Simple pill shaped design. Small colour touchscreen/viewfinder. I've mounted successive generations of the ONE to the deck of a SUP with and without a selfie stick extension, on top my helmet, on my paddle, and most recently on my back (see Pivot turn on Ice below). This is my go to camera. At the time of writing, the affiliate link gives buyers a free ONE X2 Carry Case.

Insta360 ONR RThere's nothing the modular Insta360 ONE R can't do. Offering different lens options, this can be set up like a traditional action camera, a low light camera with a large lens, or a 360 camera. Insta360 has even made a FPV drone to fit this camera into. For those willing to go the extra mile for the best shots, this is the camera for you!

Insta360 GO 2The Insta360 Go2 only has one lens; so it can't shoot true 360 degree footage. What it can do is be the smallest action camera on the market with great image quality and stabilization. The included accessories allow you to mount the camera almost anywhere you can think of. It's water resistant like the rest (but the case is not).
The included carry case charges the GO 2, protects the lens, allows you to adjust camera settings easily, acts as a tripod or a selfie stick, and serves as a remote shutter. It's the ultimate travel camera. |
